Day 5: Ankkapurha - Kouvola Käyrälampi, Tykkimäki Resort, approx. 49 km
The last day of the route and mainly easy, low-traffic asphalt roads ahead. Until the village of Koria, the route is in a rural landscape. Here the route crosses the Kymijoki River again and continues along the Kymijoki outdoor trail, which was chosen in 2024 as hiking destination of the year, to the centre of Kouvola. This section of the route has both sandy roads and paved cycle paths. From the centre of Kouvola, the route continues towards Tykkimäki resort where the last leg of the day consists of a circumnavigation of Käyrälampi pond. The Tykkimäki sauna and Tykkimäki resort are located on the shores of Käyrälampi.
