The theme of the guided tour is determined by the guide’s character, of which there are several options. The skilled guides of the Hamina region offer a variety of city-related guided tours and experiences.
Restaurant Juuri in Virolahti offers exquisite high-quality dishes in a charming setting. You’ll embark on a fantastic culinary journey and learn about the venue’s story, which dates back to 1848. The restaurant on the premises has been operating since 2003. Additional services at the restaurant include wine tasting, sauna, and sound bowl relaxation.

After breakfast at Spahotel Hamina you will have time to explore Hamina town on your own or head out for a refreshing nature walk along the Kirkkojärvi trail. Enjoy the town itself and the beauty of nature and the fresh air.
The Kirkkojärvi trail offers stunning views and the opportunity to explore the local nature and ecosystem. During this self-guided walk, it’s a good idea to take short breaks, allowing you to relax, take photos, and enjoy your own snacks!

Body and mind are pampered with delightful spa services at Spa Hotel and Haminan swimming hall. In addition to saunas, guests have access to a hot tub, cold-water pool, swimming pool, and outdoor pools when weather permits. There is also a gym available for guests to use. The hotel offers cozy rooms and a hearty breakfast as well.
Anne Puranen
Anne Puranen has danced throughout her life. Her interest in holistic well-being gives her a good foundation to meet people of all kinds with warmth. Her own previous health challenges also help her understand different starting points.
Anne offers a wide range of well-being and fitness services. She leads strength and group exercise classes and offers various lectures to groups on topics such as well-being, stress management, recovery from stress, weight loss, or lifestyle changes. Among the fitness activities she offers are Lavis (a dance fitness class), Pilates, yoga, FascialMethod (a body maintenance method developed by physiotherapists), and general exercise classes. Additionally, Anne provides coaching on topics such as work ergonomics, healthy work habits, and recovery.
Anne is a certified Personal Trainer, psychological and stress management coach, and instructor in FasciaMethod, Lavis, and Pilates10.
Restaurant Kerho
The Restaurant Kerho offers historical surroundings for buffet lunch as well as catering services for various events and meetings. The restaurant operates within the historical setting of the Hamina Garrison Club, housed in a building completed in 1863. The building has served as the residence of the cadet school’s director, the headquarters of a Russian regiment, and an officers’ club in the early 20th century, and from the 1920s to the 2000s as the Haminan Officers’ Club. In the 2000s, it was transformed into the Haminan Garrison Club.
The food is prepared with skill and passion using pure and high-quality ingredients. Breads and pastries are sourced from local bakeries or made in-house.
Restaurant Juuri
Ravintola Juuri is a restaurant located in the village of Tiilikkala in Virolahti. It offers casually prepared food with professional expertise amidst the natural countryside setting and in a former barn. The restaurant is open during the winter and spring on Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. While the restaurant recommends making a reservation for dining in advance, you can enjoy the bar’s high-quality cocktails and wines without a reservation. “For us, Fine Dining is Fun Dining.”
The restaurant is also an excellent choice for various private events such as weddings, company team-building days, meetings, or gatherings with friends including sauna sessions. The indoor seating of the restaurant accommodates groups of 6-80 people, and during the summer, even orders for up to 150 people are possible. The restaurant is surrounded by the Kaakon Golf course. For groups, the restaurant offers a Kymenlaakso menu showcasing local flavors.
