The two-day package includes an overnight stay at Santalahti Resort in Kotka. Santalahti Resort is located in a beautiful natural setting by the sea, about five kilometers from the center of Kotka. The second day’s program includes nature-oriented activities in the stunning natural sites of Kymenlaakso, suitable for both adventurous and tranquil tastes. The itinerary also includes a visit to Kultala, where you can enjoy an exciting river rafting experience and/or a wilderness cooking school!

Itinerary
Day 1
The day begins in the enchanting Valkmusa National Park, whose landscape resembles a piece of Lapland. Valkmusa offers hiking trails through stunning Finnish marshlands, utilizing boardwalks. The national park comprises exceptionally representative bog landscapes in southern Finland. The marshes are oases on the coast. Along the route, we can stop for a coffee break, for example, at the Simonsaari rest area, and enjoy the scenery from the birdwatching tower. The length of the hike is approximately two kilometers.
Next, we’ll explore the beautiful grey stone church of Pyhtää located along the Kymijoki River. The church dates back to the 1460s and is one of the best-preserved medieval churches in Finland. A local guide will provide insights into the history of the church and the area.
From the church, we’ll head to the nearby Aeronautica, where we’ll enjoy dining and engaging activities – indulging in high-quality culinary experiences in an exciting setting!
At the heart of Aeronautica is a vertical wind tunnel, Finland’s largest indoor surfing area, and the bistro-style Aeronamnam restaurant. After dining, there’s an opportunity to challenge ourselves with new experiences.
The wind tunnel is a sport and a unique experience product that allows you to experience what it’s like to float on air. The vertical wind tunnel is a tall glass tube with a strong vertical airflow that suspends the flyer in the air. The experience is comparable to skydiving.
For those interested, you can also take on the waves: indoor surfing is easy to start, with suitable difficulty levels for everyone. For a sporty and playful group, there’s also the option of a group fitness class or playful competitions. Amidst the afternoon activities, we’ll enjoy coffee, refreshments, and a revitalizing snack.
Sauna will be heated up at the end of the day. Available is a private sauna for 20 people and an expandable sauna lounge with its own terrace, kitchen, and a Drop hot tub. Those interested can entertain the group with karaoke.
At the end of the day, we’ll transfer to Santalahti Resort for overnight accommodation. Accommodation will be in Santalahti’s beach cottages or villas.
Day 2
We’ll have a communal breakfast, which can be enjoyed, for example, at Santalahti Bistro, the area’s cozy living room: the glazed and heated terrace provides a comfortable setting to start the day.
The second day will take place at Kultaa in beautiful river and forest landscapes, where the program includes river rafting and/or a wilderness cooking school. The activities at Kultaa are conducted under the guidance of the company Erämys.

Santalahti Resort
Santalahti Resort is a five-star accommodation provider located in Mussalo, Kotka. There are numerous options for accommodation, ranging from camping to luxury apartments. The area also offers plenty of recreational opportunities for water enthusiasts, hikers, cyclists, golfers – as well as for winter activities. The stunning sea views provide the perfect backdrop for your vacation.
The resort offers diverse accommodation options for various group sizes. In addition to cottages and 10-person seaside apartments, the magnificent Villa Aava can accommodate up to 18 people. Fully equipped and stylishly furnished apartments and cottages add a touch of luxury to your stay. The accommodation units are situated on the southern slope, offering views to the south towards the open sea.
Aeronautica
Aeronautica Arena, a Finnish family-owned company, is an event and adventure center that offers a unique range of activities and versatile facilities for private and corporate events. At the heart of Aeronautica is a free-fall flight tunnel, Finland’s largest indoor surfing area, and the first multiplayer VR arena. The selection also includes flight experiences by plane or helicopter from the adjacent Helsinki-East Aerodrome, as well as an escape room. Aeronamnam restaurant caters to dining and catering for every occasion. VIP sauna and lounge facilities are also available for rent.
Erämys Oy and Kultaan koskikeidas
“Kultaan Koskitila” is the heart of Erämys Oy’s operations. The area is located on the banks of the Kymijoki River, about 20 minutes from the center of Kotka. Kultaan showcases the most beautiful aspects of the Kymijoki River, with buildings constructed from old timber in a traditional manner. The area exudes perfect natural peace!
Koskitila has a cottage for 30 people and a lodge for 25 people. Meals prepared on the farm are served in the buildings, which are also suitable for hosting meetings and gatherings. The Kota on the farm can accommodate 15 people for dining or for a relaxed evening by the fire. There is also a riverside sauna and a hot tub. The location is perfect for enjoying nature, river views, and spending time together.
